Sunday & Monday

Nov 24, 2008 23:50

Sunday was spent goofing off, mostly. Shortly after I woke up enough to shuffle to and from the bathroom, I was trying to get back to sleep when I heard a knock on the front door.

A moment later the doorbell rang.

I assumed it was one evangelist or another and ignored it. Erik got up and answered the door. Shortly thereafter, I heard rea_, so I figured I might as well get out of bed.

The three of us drove up to neonphog and laurenlydon's apartment 80 some odd blocks North. We spent the day just generally hanging out: chatting, got some lunch, watched some TV shows, etc. At one point we went to a nearby thrift store because Dave and Lauren were looking for an end table. They didn't find one, but I did find a nicely aged pair of boots that would be great for my steampunk costume if only they were a size or two larger.

Monday was mostly good. I finished a large, mostly mindless (but time consuming) task that had been on my plate for a week or so. And we got paychecks today, which is always a plus.

Now I'm listening to WNYC's Radio Lab podcast, specifically the War of the Worlds episode. I'm still catching up on downloaded podcasts from Halloween ...

Ooh, incidental music in the show by Zoe Keating ... I might have to listen to Radio Lab's Quantum Cello episode again soon.

friends indeed, podcasts
