The only thing worse than getting up early to get to a meeting on time is getting to work and finding the meeting has been rescheduled.
I got to work at 9:02 and found that two of the other four people in the meeting were either not there yet, or weren't participating today, and the other two were talking about postponing or canceling.
The meeting happened after all, after the Michael got to the office. This time it actually only lasted the scheduled hour, instead of four ...
Spent the rest of the day working with InstallShield more.
Once a day or so, recently, I notice how many disparate plot threads are running through my head. There is, of course, the threads of plot for the stories I'm writing, but those are farther toward the background. There's the "plot," such as it is, for the d20 game I'm running, but that's also pretty cursory.
Current, major plotlines:
- Hexwood - Dianna Wynne Jones
- A Fist Full of Data - random Shadownrun novel I picked up
- The Rookie - Scott Sigler
- 7th Son - J.C. Hutchins
- The Worldwrights - Max Grant
- Artemis Burn - Podcast Audio drama
- Silent Universe - Another Podio Drama
I would list
the multitude of web comics I read, but there's not really enough content per "episode" to really stick, most of the time.
Karak Fact #49 - This one was suggested by my mother. I'm usually very literal minded. Mom told me a story via email last night: When I was around two years old, Mom whispered to me to say "happy birthday" to Dad when he was still in bed but awake and I, apparently, whispered it to him instead of using a normal tone.
Here's another story in the same vein. I don't remember when exactly this took place, sometime during grade school, I think. Mom let me a note to find after I got home from school, asking me to put the clothes in the washer into the dryer. I did exactly that, but she expected I would start the dryer after putting the freshly washed clothes in it...
