Huzzah!
Today I went in to work and finally was able to spend the time needed to figure out why exactly the server was kernel panicking on boot. Turns out the kernel didn't have the EIDE device drivers built in, so I recompiled those into the kernel and rebooted and it worked. Huzzah!
Meanwhile, I've spent the day watching the last two episodes of Torchwood and listening to The Rookie while watching software compile now that the server boots.
I also took a look at my desk and realized it's really, really messy, so when the build is finished I'll move the computer to the server room, then rearrange my desk and clean it up a bit, hopefully freeing up some space to add my laptop to the desk during the day as well.. ;)
Went out to a couple bars with madscience and his girlfriend last night and woke up with a small hangover ... Last night they said they'd get out of bed before noon and do stuff today, but they were still in bed when I left around 12:30.
Karak Fact #18: To my knowledge I have not (officially) broken a bone in my body. I may have broken my right big toe in 2002-ish when I kicked a tire on my van after it died and missed the rubber part of the tire and connected with the hubcap, but never went to get it xrayed or a cast or anything.
