Today we started another game, deciding to play to 250 instead of 500. Just as the game was starting, my phone rang: a tech support call. I had to skip out of the first round. When I came back for the second, it was decided my points for that round would simply double, counting for first and second rounds. I was caught with 57 points in my hand when Josh played his last card.

Also, slight change in the trip schedule. I'll probably hang out in Prescott with my parents longer. Taking four vacation days to cover the 26-29th which means I don't have to be at work until Jan 1. I may end up spending New Years on the road. ;)
Some people might be bummed about spending their birthday and New Years on the road, but I'm looking forward to it. I admit, it would be more fun with friends around, but if I'm going to spend my birthday alone, I'd rather spend in traveling to friends/family than sitting on the couch watching DVDs.
And, in case anyone cares, I updated my journal layout the other day. Gray/Green was a bit old and dreary anymore ... and I've also put up the_lone_bard's layout on my website, slightly modified. When I get around to it (a round tuit?) I'll change the colors to more closely match the journal colors ... or change the journal to match the website. One of the two. Perhaps some third option ...
