No phone! No Phone! I just want to be alone today.
Yesterday, I got a phone at my desk. The only phone in the programmers' room, aside from our cell phones.
It's on my desk, because I'm *drumroll* Tech Support!
*rolls eyes*
At least it hasn't rung yet aside from the test calls made last night to make sure it works.
And soon, when the volume of support calls demands it, the company will hire a dedicated receptionist / tech support person.
And because there's no real point is not making them public anymore ...
This was posted a couple weeks ago*, when I was more than a little upset and felt the need to vent a bit before the thoughts exploded my head.
I thought I had accounted for all of my players regarding who would see that post, but apparently I missed one, which lead to this follow up* yesterday.
I may have killed my gaming group inadvertently, which is not in and of itself a "bad thing." I've been feeling like DMing was this thing I had to do every Saturday and people would be upset if I didn't have something planned. Now people are upset regardless of what I had planned, so the only response is a hearty "Meh!" I usually end up having fun running the games, except when it feels like I'm fighting some of the players for the group's attention, especially when I've had a crappy week. Those are the sessions where townspeople spontaneously turn into dragons for my amusement. (hasn't happened yet)
