Comcast guy came by today between 2 and 4 (closer to 3:45) and hooked up the digital cable and gave me the Self Install kit for internets.
After he left, I got the modem hooked up to the router and had to resort to the Auto-Magical configuration wizard CDROM to get it to talk to their network, but on the plus side I managed to not have it install all sorts of comcast-astic stuff to my computer, so there's a plus.
I'm not sure if I've lost the actual powersupply for the WAP, or if I burned it out when I tried the Router's powersupply when I had grabbed the wrong plug. I think the WAP takes 7v and the router takes 12v, which would kinda kill the WAP ... just a little bit. In any event, there's no wireless in the apartment at the moment.
And after having spent a total somewhere around $600 in two to five shopping trips, I think we have everything we either left in CO, or didn't take from Eugene.
Unpacking was interrupted last weekend for a funeral. Sad times, but it did spark a blog entry in my mind.
It's good to have internet again. I've missed it.
Also, I have a job. Starting next Friday (the 27th) I work part time at Joe Brown's Carmel Corn shop in the Lloyd Center mall. Making and selling various popcorns and candies, as well as soda and some ice creams.
