Who heals the Healer?

I asked mintpillow for a sentence off of which to write something. She's requested a poem and a story ...

Here goes.

Who Heals the Healer?
Who heals the Healer?
Who watches the Watcher?
Who dreams for the Dreamer,
And who cooks for the Chef?

Who drums for the Drummer?
Who writes for the Writer?
Who fights for the Fighter,
And who repairs the Mechanic?

The Wounded, The Watched,
The Dreamed and the Hungry,
The Listener, the Reader,
The Defenseless and the Broken.

Without a counterpart,
They are for naught.
Alone in a void,
Their vocation fullfiled.

Hopefully that didn't suck too bad ... poetry tends to be more difficult than prose for me ....
