I forgot to mention this yesterday...
Before O started messaging me last night, before the party, Drobe, Rojzik and I were standing around in the kitchen talking. I brought up G3 which eventually let to HeroClix. Rojzik asked what they were, I said "A CCG with little plastic figures, based on Marvel characters" Drobe ammended "Really any comic characters" which led to a Batman vs Hellboy exchange that went something like this:
K: But Hellboy has the Right Hand Of Doom!
D: That ain't nothin' compared to the Bat-Hook.
K: Right Hand of Doom! ... Of DOOOOM!
D: Shee-iut! He'd be using that to whack off Robin.
which led to minutes of laughter from all of us.
I guess I should get ready for Neon's "party" ... Mmm... Cider and home made doughnuts ... That's one of the best Halloween traditions I've come across. Every year since I've known him, he spends Halloween evening with his grandparents, making doughnuts (his grandmother makes the dough, he fries it, then his grandfather glazes them in a mixture of powdered sugar and water) The rest of us, (Neon's parents, his sister, her boyfriend, a few of the jaehop crowd) mostly sit around talking, helping where we can, eating the doughnuts and drinking cider. At times we carve pumpkins. The last few years Neon and I have each carved half of a pumpkin.
