Medieval Architecture Question
So at lunch at work today, a coworker asked me a question I couldn't answer. She apparently saw a gateway in a mediaeval hilltop town in Tuscany that puzzled her. She said it was 35 ft tall and 10 feet wide. She wanted to know why it was so tall and so narrow. Any ideas?
