'Empowerment'
I hear it at work 2 ways.
1) Do what we need to do to make our customer's happy... in other words, bend over and kiss my own a$$ if that's what they want. So I actually have no power to say "I'm sorry that item's from two years ago and I can't return it for you."
2) Do what we need to do the best for our business--making changes to displays and such so the store will appeal most to our particular customers... Until someone from corporate comes into our store and doesn't like it; then it's "change it right now."
So I'm empowered to bend over and take it.
