Breaking Point

Break is good, break is great. All hail break.

It feels like I haven't been to school for months, when it has really been weeks. 2.5 to be exact. I have been fully reclined in the express lane to relaxation, having little or no plans up until the day I do something and in many cases, moments before I do something. This is a nice change.

Christmas was merry & bright, as could be expected. We (my family) went from expecting a small XMas to it being a very full household and a very full fridge. Honey Baked Ham - HBH as I like to call it - is gross but the sugar coating atop it, is lovely. Heavenly. Hog Heaven? I had my wrist slapped by everyone in the family, telling me to leave some sugar for everyone else.

This talk about ham has reminded me of the hilarious calendar I saw at Border's the other day. It was a calendar of "piggies" but the pigs were dressed up. Sweet AdelSWINE, pigs in a blanket (sleeping) and my favorite, Sowboy, which featured a baby pig riding a larger pig. I found this calendar to be absolutely histerical and laughed accordingly, all by myself in the middle of Border's. At one point, while catching my breath between chortles, I caught myself softly giggling "Adelswiiine!"

I think the highlight of my break has been the number of friends and people I have had the pleasure of spending time with. I am on the mend with Al, Lo and Arj, I am re-friending Alex Ticu, Ali and I actually got to hang out (in the flesh!!) and I threw a party for all of the people I love but see far too little of. Thank you to anyone and everyone who was there or made an effort to be. I miss you all so much and I wish we could travel like the Trekkies do, beaming back and forth across the country to have tea together.

I even got a Christmas card from Don Daniels, my first true (and unrequieted) love, wishing me & mine a merry little holiday season!

I hope everyone had a lovely break. If I didn't see you this time around, there's always next year. Love,
