I was reviewing the school report cards for Peoria and I realized that in over half of our schools, 90% or more of the children in attendance live in low income families. In the entire district 63% of the families are low income.

Then I realized that around only 50% of stundents in the district meet or exceed expectations for their grade. How sad is that.
