Okay! I havent updated in a really long time. A lot has happened...
I thought Rita was going to skrew up my plans for last weekend but it didnt which is really awesome.The 20 hours drive to Austin (which normally takes 3 hours) due to traffic was totally worth it for Austin City Limits. So originally it was going to be me liat and my sister who were going to go ACL but that kinda got fucked up due to the weather, so instead me liat my parents and my dog all went. So we left at 3 a.m Thursday morning, hoping to fight the traffic but when we got on the highway it was like a parking lot. We moved like 4 miles in 8 hours.. it was crazy. My parents were thinkin about turing around and to go home but i convinced them not to.When we got to Austin it was like 11 at night. We stayed with a friends sisters neighbor the first night (confusing huh.) Then on friday, saturday, and sunday we stayed at hotels that i booked 5 months ago. ACL was awesome.. it was a really great experience. WE saw most of the bands we wanted to. The weather was extremely hott and by hot i mean like 108 degrees, so we skipped the minor bands that were midday. I think on all the days we arrived at 2ish. The walk from our hotel to the festival was like 30 minutes so sometimes (which was most of the time) we were lazy so we asked a bicycle person to chauffer us to our hotel. The bicycle dude was really hottt. On friday ACL wasnt that crowded.. i guess b/c alot of people were still stuck in traffic.. so the concerts we saw that day we were able to get very close to the stage. It was amazing. We saw spoon, thievery corporation, KEANE, blue october, AQUALUNG, DEATH CAB, jet, bloc party (from far away), OASIS, Kaiser cheifs, Austin Hertly-leonard, jason mraz, franz ferdinand, coldplay and then we heard others while sleeping under a tree. Ill try to put some pics up...
