It's a group thing

I just went and looked at Codex Writers, http://www.codexwriters.com/index.htm    and I gotta say, "Wow."  What a great idea for a site. It's focusing on neo-pros, so it would be a whole group of people (and others, I suppose, too, of course) who are in that sticky time between making a pro sale and bigtime. That's how the introduction seems, as they want people who have made a professional sale or gone through one of the wonderful writers' workshops that are offered.

I haven't applied, I'm thinking about it. I seem like I'm in a good balance at this point in my little bid for wrtr-hood, doin' the writer dance, and I'm not so sure that I really want another group, even if my credits would be considered acceptable.

Still, wow, it looks awesome. I'd think it'd be relaxing, and maybe keep up the enthusiasm and strive for that much more, and yet keep things in perspective. That's how it seems intended. I think I'll see how I do this coming month, sending out, just see how it goes in a positive way, and go from there.

I fixed up another story and sent it out last night. A rejection in the morning, a submission at night, who is that person?! Ha, no, I know; it should be, what, 20 rejections a day and 50 stories out, probably, something like that :0)

Tomorrow I go look for a job. I have my places planned, I wish I had nicer clothes, but these should do all right. It's just applying.

writing group, subbing, family
