I got the costume finished in time. Did have a miscalculation on the grommets on the skirt. I'm so good at math that I forgot to double the amount on each panel and only counted the number once. So I have more on some panels and progressively less as I got around to the back. But really, no one noticed but me. Isn't that the case a lot of times? :) All pieces were made, but not all worn. I hated the peplum-ey bustle-y weird piece on the skirt back and it was a pain getting into the corset with it in place, so I just didn't wear it. I had anticipated some trouble with it ahead of time and made it a snap-on piece instead of sewn in. If I'd had someone to help me dress (the husband was more interested in undoing than doing up the costume), I would've worn it.
It was rather comfortable to wear. Had a fully lined bodice and I wore my standby brown fleece, ribbon trimmed cape with it for a bit of extra warmth.
I used one of the Simplicity Game of Thrones patterns and modified it because that's just what I had in my stash. Was annoyed to discover that even with losing 28 pounds I still had to do a 1.5" full bust adjustment, which was mildly head scratching with how that bodice pieces are designed, but I got it and it worked. For the corset, I used Katherine's instructions for an underbust corset found on her Eowyn page. This was surprising easy to make really, aside from the math trouble with the grommets.
