I've been meaning to put these up, but I keep forgetting. Click the pic to see more. :)
That's a meteor in the video-- think two poi tied together, or a bendy staff. It's tricky, not least because it's not actually secured around your hand-- you can't just grab and twirl it around. It's also on fire on both ends, which makes things interesting. I've been told that I set my sleeve on fire, although I don't recall it. I was kind of concentrating on not dropping the meteor. Hehe.
I went to a poi workshop on Saturday, and took a crash course of sorts. I gotta say, after consistently whacking myself in the head with the meteor, the poi are noooo problem. I'm getting better, or at least I think I'm getting better. Now I just need to get better at practicing. ;)
