Three fucking hours to get to work today. Actually, that's not quite right. Two hours to get from my driveway over the hill to the 101 split. So.. two hours to get halfway to work. The other hour was taken up by lunch and zipping through the Valley.
You know those reports on the radio about how the 405 is down to one lane by Getty Center? That was me. Or more precisely, I had the same idea as thousands of other people and got on Sepulveda instead. Big mistake. Sepulveda was actually moving slower than the freeway, except with no exits. *snarl*
I found myself listening the the O'Reilly Factor after I almost dozed off to NPR. Don't knock it, it works. ;)
Got to Ventura Blvd 2 hours later, caffeinated, square-butted, and full of liberal anger and nicotine. Since this morning was a wash (ha), and pretty much anyone who looked at me funny was gonna die, I stopped for lunch instead and watched the water pouring over Ventura.
Which is why I'm two hours late today. Not looking forward to going home. :( I want a teleporter, dammit.
