Elton John wants to shut down the internet?

The outspoken Sir Elton John, apparently feeling the pinch of declining album sales, has called for the internet to be shut down.

"Hopefully the next movement in music will tear down the internet," British newspaper The Sun quoted him as saying.

So Al Gore invented it and now Elton John wants it shut down?

Personally, I reckon the small crowd of ever repetitive droning, repackaged, tarted up, resold and tired opinions / songs / politics / views / words from a small bunch of "famous" people invented the internet and will ensure it continues to mushroom.

About now Elton is wishing he hadn't spent like a drunken sailor all these years. Boohoo.

Besides, what does he think it is? A light switch?
