Hey Everybody
This is a rare thing indeed: a post that is neither facetious nor about something terrible.
I have actually been doing fairly well since last I posted. No major crises, less annoyance with other people, nothing crazy or weird. Except that Scott Hicks is a figment of my imagination. Heh heh.
Once again I face the Christmas pre-game build-up and post-game orgy. Unlike other times, however, I do so with little dread. I doubt this time of year will ever induce the childish giddy and wonder that it does in others, but I have learned to remain quiet and find peace in not intruding on other people's happy times. Kudos to me.
This Wednesday (the 21st) marks the thirteenth aniversary of my mother's death and my father's incarceration. I will be going to a church to light a candle and pray that I remember the lessons she taught me, both in life and death.
P.S. I will also be in town over the holidays, except on the 24th and 25th.
