Jesus wasn't born in December.
He was born in September. (according to whoever told me this)
We, however, like to celebrate His birth in December anyway, using pagan symbols such as the tree and gift giving (hence Jeremiah 10) by changing their meanings. I think we should give each other the mushrooms that are supposed to grow underneath the festooned trees rather than purchased items from the store; it's cheaper and healthier.
