You've really played "Hey Cow?" Should I even ask if you ever went cow-tipping? ;)

I was dying this chapter. My favorite section was definitely the middle one. Burt gleefully tormenting Blaine was awesome- for once Burt was a great mix of protective dad and just wanting to frak with his son's boyfriend (erm, figuratively). I could totally see myself doing this to my sons' significant others in eleven thirty years or so. And Carole taking notes so she could torment Quinn was AWESOME. Your Burt rocks.

And Emma and Shannon! Oh, that was hysterical, especially the last line. It brought back the Emma who told Rachel someday she'd be glad she didn't have a gag reflex :)

And I'm glad Brittany's caught on that Sue is kidnapping them. It should seem pretty obvious, but then... this is Glee.

Awesome chapter!

(And Emma singing Toby Keith! I know you're not a country fan, but thank you!!! :) )

I have indeed. As a commenter below mentioned, the license plate game doesn't really work on deserted roads, and...well, you work with what you've got. ;) (Though no, never cow-tipping. Cow-tipping is something we send drunk city-folk out to do for laughs.)

The stuff in the SUV has been my favorite part to write so far. It's really fun to write something cracky and let the normally very nice characters loose a little.

I want Emma and Shannon to be friends so badly now! I may even slightly ship them? I'm starting to get the feeling that Shannon is one of those characters that you can put any other character with and, bam, you've got yourself a fun conversation.

I'm not a country fan, but I do wish they'd use more country on the show. One thing I do like about country is there's no hiding the ball as to what a song is about, and I think that would work really well in a lot of situations. Oh well. Maybe if the country singer wins The Glee Project?

I want to see Carole torturing Quinn so badly, with Burt looking on with approval because his wife is AWESOME.

"Hey Cow" - definitely more fun than the license plate game on a deserted road.

I have a feeling Brittany's trail won't help, but at least she's being proactive. Stupid Glee club, way too trusting!

Cannot wait for the next part!

I do, too! I don't know if I can finagle her into the SUV for the ride home, but...man, I need to try.

Yeah, "Hey Cow" doesn't work all that well as a game, but it is fun in terms of getting to stick your head out the window and yell. ;)

Sorry about the delay, but Chapter 3 is now up! Thanks for reading!

Ahhhh...so I'm guessing that Emma & Shannon might band together as rescue team 2. The image of Emma at the Roadhouse is hilarious “I’m virginal even with sex on the beach? It’s like the whole ‘Afternoon Delight’ debacle all over again.” You're making me like Emma more than I often do on the show here.

I loved the Burt/Blaine talk. We practically had the same thoughts on Burt's reaction to the Blaine asking him to talk to Kurt about sex and then hooking up with Kurt.

Though I will neither confirm nor deny, I'd say that's not a bad guess... ;) I'm glad you liked Emma. She has so much potential, particularly if her story wasn't so tied up in Will. I know that'll never happen, but I can hope.

I know, I had a moment of "oh crap, brain sharing" when I read that bit in your fic. I do think Burt would take it in stride, but come on, it's too perfect an opportunity not to make the kid sweat a little, at least.

Oh man, this is utterly fantastic. I don't think it gets any better than Emma and Bieste on a motorcycle together. Brittany leaving a breadcrumb lunch trail is incredibly, adorably in-character. &hearts &hearts &hearts

Thanks so much! I really do love Emma, and I'd love to see her have a friend like Coach Beiste. And Brittany is going to save the day. ;)

Thanks for reading! Sorry for the delay with Chapter 3, but it's posted now.

Another spectacularly hilarious chapter!

I adore Brittany's Hansel and Gretel style plan, so perfectly in character.
I love that you've given Tina something to do, even if it is having a trivial argument with Mike, it's still good for her to have lines, she kinda disappeared in this second season

LMFAO at the awkwardness in Burt's car. I love the idea of Blaine sitting in the back seat lip syncing the whole way. And Burt's chat with Blaine was HILARIOUS!!! Him just nonchalantly talking about leaving bodies on an abandonned road. Poor Blaine

Shannon and Emma work together SO WELL1

Thanks! I'm working really hard to try to give everyone a little something to do. I'm afraid Tina won't get much more than this, but...I have new-found sympathy for the writers of the show. Giving everybody in such a large ensemble something interesting to do is hard.

And part of the problem there is because the groups outside the bus are so much fun to write, too. I'm having a blast writing the Burt-Blaine tension, and I'm now fully convinced that Shannon and Emma need to become friends in the show. They're so much fun together.

I don't think I had the link up in this chapter when you posted, but Chapter 3 is up now.
