-Ficlets written for alphabet meme= 1
-Words written on prostitute!Felix big bang= ~200 (wasn't really in the mood for that one this weekend)
-Words written on Felix and Louis adoption/Louis's back-story fic= ~6,500
-Exchange Fic progress= backwards; I chased off my one sort-of bunny earlier this week and haven't come up with anything else since.
So yes, the fest fic is really cooking now, though I'm maybe half way through my outline. It will be big bang-length before I'm finished--actually, I passed 15K today, so it *is* big-bang length. Since the lgbtfest is now in its "post whenever you want" phase of the year, I'm wondering if I want to post this as a big bang, too, as well as prostitute!Felix. The upside would be, hey, art! The downside would be that I'll be done before September, so long as things keep going as fast as they are. I don't foresee any major roadblocks. With fandom being quiet-ish this summer, especially in the realm of long fic (between the alphabet meme doing the rounds in the Gaeta community and the kink drabbles and pornbattle in the overall BSG realm, short fic is relatively abundant), do I really want to wait that long to post?
Also, since it's Hoshi-centric (though with copious amounts of Felix and some Racetrack, Helo, and Athena in there, too), and since there aren't a whole lot of photos of Hoshi, would I be running the risk that nobody would be interested in doing art for it? I know, I know, the big bang comm says they'll find somebody to do art for every big bang, but for some reason, I'm just leery. I have fears of nobody wanting to do art for either of mine, because the Hoshi one is a lot of Hoshi and OCs, and the prostitute!Felix one, is...well, prostitute!Felix. If you didn't know my writing at all, wouldn't that phrase scare you a bit?
Speaking of the alphabet meme, I do have some letters still open for prompts. Prompt away, folks! You don't have to do the meme yourself to prompt, you know. Also,
lls_mutant , would you mind if I did one of your prompts in your YFL/ALTLUT/STTSBYF (geez, that's a lot of long abbreviations!) 'verse?
Also, does anyone else remember "Tomes and Talismans"? It's an admittedly really, really bad educational show, but I loved it in elementary school library class. A librarian trapped on post-apocalyptic Earth and awakened from 100 years in stasis teaches alien children (who look like normal children with weird clothing, headbands, and creepily precise enunciation) the wonders of the Dewey Decimal System.
