So I am almost officially a psychology major with a summer job.
As far as the major goes I'm officially enrolled in the education program- but it doesn't count as a "major" so sometime next week I am going to meet with the head of the department and declare psych. Officially.
As far as the job goes I got an email from the director of Skye Farm camp saying that they really enjoyed my presence last summer and that they are still waiting on one of my references, but they hope they get it soon so that they can act. If he says that and then doesn't hire me I will be very very angry. So I am almost officially a camp counselor again! Almost...
Officially I am going to be living in Hillcrest 206 next year with the 2 girls who currently live next door. The Hillcrest house is a really cool building which is on campus, but not a residence hall. We got the house because Liz is in pep band and they reserved the house. It kind of makes me feel sad that I'm not actually IN pep band, but one of the guys who was organizing the house said he would teach me to play the trumpet next year...
For St.Patrick's day our class council sold carnations, so I bought one for my roommate mostly because I have a thing for the guy who was selling them and I wanted him to come by our room... haha
So yesterday he came by with a bunch of them and gave one to Erin, from me, and one to me, from him and the other friend he was selling them with. It was technically for Erin and I- but I'm keeping it because he gave it to me and she has her own. They wrote "Erin & Peacock" on the card and everytime I look I think it says "Eric Peacock" who is my uncle.
So then today he came by again and as he was standing in our room analyzing the set up he sees my guitar and asks me to play it. When I refuse he asks if he can. (Umm... YES) So he sits down on my bed and starts singing- the first few were songs that he wrote and then he sang "Beautiful Soul" by Jesse McCartney and "Breakfast at Tiffany's" The last song he sang was an absolutly beautiful Christian song which just happened to be one of my favorite songs from camp this summer.
During all this my friends next door walked by and saw him so they called Erin on her cell phone to get her out of the room! haha It was AMAZING.
