Yo!
Hey, things are cool. I've got a helluva lot of things to accomplish this week, and my workload only increases as of next week and the week after as my freshman year draws to a biting close. Although, I did manage to complete my self-portrait in the nick of time today (5 minutes before class--mind you, I did not slack. I had been diligently and arduously working on it straight through the weekend, forgiving about hour and a half to run, shower, eat, and sleep.), and the critique for my demonic fruit went flatteringly well. But, I have to work really hard on my art if I want to build up a portfolio that's up to snuff enough (woooah, this is an awesome sentence) to be worthy of a successful Drawing major applicant. Because if I don't get selected as a drawing major, there will no longer be a place available for me as a living being on this earth.
I also have to finish my self-portrait in Painting. Not much to do, really...just another white box, and mebbe another wash of dirty grey. Shouldn't take me but fifteen minutes, the majority of that being to go out there and get the paint set up. Then, tomorrow, I have to make some PB&J Pretzel sandwiches for the exhibit on Wednesday...which just goes to show you how much I truly love my art classmates, seeing--OMG I LOVE SANDEE FOR GIVING ME A MACAROON--as I have been abstaining from any form of Peanut Butter since mid-February and will continue to do so until this Sunday. ::bites lip::
And I really ought to start complete my math homework...I need to do well on the next exam, and the final. Because I haven't been doing very well up until now. As for Photography...that too. I'm a-gonna take a few pictures starting Wednesday, and tomorrow, I'm going to see if I can't knock out that critical essay after going to Andres' work in the Focus Gallery.
...I should watch that tutorial for WIFT right now...
I wonder if that covers all my classes, except for orchestra?
Well, speaking of classes, I've arranged my schedule for next year! Here goes:
Monday
8:30 - 9:20 Music Theory
9:35 - 10:25 Human Sexuality
10:40 - 11:30 Music Theory
11:45 - 2:45 Painting in Color
6:15 - 9:20 Drawing: Movement and Motion
Tuesday
8:30 - 9:20 Human Sexuality
12:50 - 1:40 Art History
3:00 - 6:00 Ceramics
Wednesday
See Monday!
Thursday
See Tuesday!
Friday
8:30 - 9:20 Art History
9:35 - 10:25 Human Sexuality
...I can tell you right now, I won't be able to wait for Christmas. But it's just as well, really. Although, the whole music theory thing is truly tentative. As of right now, I'm scheduled to take Pre-calc Algebra because I have to wait to take the theory placement exam before I actually get signed up for the class...I don't want to waste any time-slot opportunities, so I am definitely taking the full 18 credits, MWA HA HAAAA!!!
HOWEVER. Should I, by some terrible strike of misfortune, not make it into Music Theory I, then I will resolve to keep Pre-calc and hold off on the music thingie. Sucks, true, but I'll grin and bear it.
Anyway. I ran for an hour straight on Sunday! Such a painfully small victory after what I was running this time last year...but I've been lax, and I'll admit that shamelessly. Because I can only do my best, after all. And tomorrow, I'm gonna work a little backwards-build-up, and shoot for 40 minutes. Then, on Thursday, I'll try another hour-long run. And on Sunday, which marks the critical goal-making point (where I had originally planned to be running for 2 hours), I'm just going to run. Hopefully for two hours, probably for more like, 90 minutes. But I'll do my best!
And I've also resigned myself to the fact that my intuitions are generally and dismally accurate. I probably won't get my first kiss until the Thanksgiving after my 20th birthday (omg! I just mis-typed and wrote 29th! I dearly hope that isn't another premonition adjustment...;_;). But that's okay! I'm just...saving it...for someone.
(ANYONE!...no, seriously kidding.)
Mmmmmkay. Now for those tutorials. Yoshi!
