So it seems that my birthday is on Tuesday. It snuck up real quick this year. It seems like a few weeks ago it was Rich's birthday, when it was really 2 1/2 months ago. *meep* Unfortunately, I have to work on my birthday, so I have nothing planned for the day. We were going to have dinner at his moms house, but that got postponed until Thursday, because his aunt and sister have school the night of. It feels weird to me that I don't have to go to school, because for the last, oh, 19 years or so I've had school on, or around my birthday. Hmmm....
Carrie's wedding is on Wednesday (Halloween). I finally got my costume. I wore it last night when I went out with my friends in Medford, so I was able to give it a test run. I'll have to make a few alterations because it's awfully short, and I ended up freezing while waiting in line to get into a stupid bar. A bunch of my friends had decided to go to this costume party at this bar, Ground Zero, in Medford. Tickets cost us 9 dollars, and it turned out to be a complete waste of money. First off, the tickets only got us in for 3 dollars cheaper then those who didn't have tickets. Everyone had to wait in the ridiculously long line, in the freezing cold, waiting for enough people to leave so more could go in (They were letting in about 10 people every 10 minutes). Once you got inside, you could barely move, it was cold (they had all the fans on), and kind of stupid. People were absolutely wasted, and I realized that I am so glad that I don't drink anymore, because I see people who are falling down drunk, and it makes me embarrassed to know that I used to be that way once. I had 2 drinks last night (well, one and a half), and I was perfectly content.
The costumes were all so much fun. Two of my friends dressed up as Panda's, and they were so cute. Three of my friends all went as superheros; One was Batgirl, one was a female Robin, and one was wonder woman. I, all by my lonesome, went as a cheerleader. A dead cheerleader. Apparently I fell off the pyramid and cracked my head open on the ground. I'll try to post pictures when I get them... I didn't know that Rich had packed our camera, otherwise I would have taken some of my own.
Back to Carrie's wedding, it's on Wednesday, and I'm excited. It's going to be amazing :) Haven't gotten her her present yet, but then again, if I had, I wouldn't say what it is here, since she would read this and ruin the surprise ;)
Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow.
birthday,
