We have 2 masses connected by a spring, m1 and m2, and m1 placed against a wall.
m2 is pushed in the direction of m1 such that the spring is compressed to half its natural length.
formulate an equation of motion for the Centre of Mass of the system when m2 is released.
I spent 12 hours over 3 days on this problem before solving it. Anyone wanna give it a shot?
