(no subject)

Okay, trying to write a research synopsis is really hard when you're sick, your meds are making you wonky (go Medrol!) and your face is crawling. UGH. At least the one benefit to the medrol is that, well, I wouldn't be sleeping tonight anyway, so at least I have something useful to do.

I'm glad the studies I need to do won't take me long, either -- I have to do a creative project after writing my synopsis on Kandinsky's obsession with color, and so I've chosen to do a series of 8"x10"-ish studies, as though I were laying the groundwork for one of his Compositions. I'm going to do a basic pencil study to show potential layouts, one in colored pencil to refine the composition and begin to add in ideas of color, a color study or two (basically, painting colors in juxtaposition to see how they look), and then a watercolor composition study. This is partially to make my life easier, since I've never done a painting in this style, and partially because...

The project is to show learning. I feel that doing a series of studies and displaying those would show more learning than having done a full sheet watercolor would've, and they'll be easier to share, since I can hold each one up, discuss it, then let my classmates pass it around to look at it. ;D Dunno, should be cool.

Back to trying to write. I wish my face would shut up.
