Blah
So James is leaving in the morning en route to California en route to Okinawa. Blah. I hate war. I detest war, as necessary as it may be. I am stingy with my friends and family, and will make this fact known. Blah.
I may be going over to see him here in a little bit-yesterday he had dinner with his Dad, today he had dinner with his Mom, and an hour ago was on his way to go visit one of his sisters and his niece before he leaves tomorrow. So...I get to go see him while he's packing. This requires me to be in the presence of his cheating wife, of whom I wish to have no dealings with, even mild conversation.
Yesterday, there was an outbreak of political conversation in my crochet community, of which was quickly halted today. A new member to the community posted to say hi, and another member went sticking their nose about, and cross-posted something the new member had said about a totally unrelated topic in a pro-life community. Then said nosy member got all out of sorts when the moderator came about, got mad that nosy member was being unwelcoming to someone who just wanted to talk about crochet, and deleted nosy member's political posts! Now, I joined the crochet community because I wanted to learn about crochet. If I wanted to learn about peoples views (which every individual is entitled to), I would either run a search for members with that interest, or go to a community talking about that interest specifically. ...in the meantime, I have plans to be friendly to new members in whatever community I join, crochet, knitting, belly dancing, egyptology, or otherwise.
