Yawn
I'm home! Well, have been for a couple of days, but haven't felt like coming back to teh interwebz quite yet. But now I'm trying to make myself stay up until 10 to get over my jet lag so I might as well ramble on here for a bit.
Got my photo collection down to around 750 shots worthy of posting, but it'll be awhile before I can process them all and slap 'em up onto flickr. First I have a mountain of laundry to do and some food shopping in my future...
I picked up some epic lewts from Levykauppa Äx, Hellsinki Rock Shop, and the Kalevala exhibit at the Ateneum. And - wonder of wonders - one of my friends there told me about Digelius Music, where I managed to find the jouhikko CDs that had eluded even my online search.
Also managed to pick up a cold and strep throat while I was over there, so my immune system got to sample the local flavor - probably thanks to Nummirock: three days of continuous drinking, camping out in the cold and sleeping maybe 2 or 3 hours a night, and the homemade Finnish moonshine probably didn't help. I've never had strep before so this is new and kind of interesting for me. I also got a sunburn at Nummirock so now I can say I'm so pale I went to Finland and got sunburnt. But after a cold-ass midsummer with a sorry lack of bonfire on the festival side of the lake, the weather warmed up nicely and summer finally arrived to Hyperboria.
Now for bed, since there's some part of my brain that still thinks it's around 4 am.
