so i read the the book Lighthousekeeping by Jeanette Winterterson two times and i managed to finished it (again) just now. the story is a bit confusing in a way (if you've got a mind like mine LOL) and also fragmented, so i doubled reading it up. but the language is so beautiful, reminds me of 京 and his lyrics...
the book is about an orphaned girl named Silver and was taken in by Pew, a blind keeper of the Cape Wrath lighthouse. for the length of her stay in there, she began to know the history of Cape Wrath and the life of it's founder Babel Dark through the stories of Pew. Babel Dark is a nineteenth-century clergyman, who lived two lives: the public life mired in darkness and deceit, and the private life fully-bathed in the light of tenderness and love. for Silver, his life became her guide through her own darkness, story and in love.
i want to write a review, but thought better of it. i'm too lazy besides... >.>;; and i'm reading The Catcher in The Rye next.
...You must never doubt the one you love.
But They might not be telling you the truth.
Nevermind that. You tell them the truth.
What do you mean?
You can't be another person's honesty, child, but you
can be your own.
So what should I say?
When?
When I love someone?
You should say it.
