Very nice!! I love obsessive themes, when everything takes over their senses and minds (*-*)
Also, I think that obsession is mutual. If Near let Mello win, Mello'd stop looking at him. For that, Near needs to keep being number one; Mello will never leave, he'll keep following him.

That was seriously cool! That really gets into the heart of what makes M/N work, it gets to the point where pure hatred becomes love and love gets mixed with pure hatred. I think you really got Mello's feelings down. And the "cant quit...you" part made me happy (I am such a Brokeback fan)
