So much speaking of fads. Reminds me of that movie from the 80's 'The Thing' where everyone was trying to help each other but at the same time no one trusted one another. Everyone wants to start a fad, but now fads altogether are cliche. Just like livejournal. People starting new journals, making new names and ditching old journals. All cliche, all fads, all just becomming to be annoying. Most everything is a double edged sword now. If one wishes to start up a livejournal, they're accused of copying off everyone who has one. If they don't, they're ridiculed for not having one. If they give that reason, they're considered shallow for giving that reason. Fads, cliches, shallowness . .. ..
Yesterday was fine during school, afterschool was when the trouble started. We work in the ACT house. We have to be on call for when people come to us with technical problems. Yesterday we were kicked out of the ACT house, by a security guard, I tried to explain that we were working, but still obligied to their request. We left, only to find two more guards waiting in the hall. I try to explian to these guards that we're to be working, but I was mocked. I asked not to be made fun of. The guard grabs my face, and just like a grandmother would, dismisses me with a "don't take life too seiousely." That was to belittling and she had no right to do that. By the time we were on the first floor, there were up to 8 guards corraling us through the exit they saw fit, denying the very existence of the exit by room 20. They suck. I'm going to fight this. Mrs Deluca is on my side.
Once on the train, kids come on, commenting about my chienese food and skateboard. "yo run your chienese food" What kind of crap is that. That statement doesn't even make any sense. After a few of those kids leave, the stragglers quieted down, but two older guys get on the train, making much of the same comments. That sucked
DDR was cool, but some lady was causing trouble. For some reason she was trying to get in. For some other reason the security didn't want her in. The security guy was huge, and so was the lady. It was pretty funny watching they go belly to belly. She got past him at one point, but he grabbed her jacket and pulled her back. Met Ed and Chris at the port. Chris will be a regular next semister, soon as the christmas break comes. Funny how all us Lehmanites are mistaken for college students. Very nice for the ego, even though I fit right in at McGill :-D Took the train home with Ed.
As we were leaving the port, we were about a water fountain. I was leaning against the wall, and Jerry, Jason, Sammy, and Ed were about me. This elderly Puerto Rican lady came up to us asking if there was a problem. I said "excuse me?" Her son, nephew, whatever he was in relation to her saw me, and obtained a shocked expression. He said "no no, nothing is wrong here, forget it, lets go" She continues "oh I'm so sorry, I only assumed, one girl with five guys around." I took offense to that, but there were five of us total, so I'm not quite sure what to make of it. I still feel bad though. That's why I got a hair cut today. I think hair looks pretty sexy now.
In the train station at the port, these two asian women were mugged. Right in the middle of everything. They were screaming and yelling, you didn't have to understand them to know what happened. I felt bad about it. *transforms to Mr Boodhoo* I got so angry, I wanted to go after the mugger and make him pay for what he did. Alas, I did nothing. I'm so pissed at myself for being weak and not doing anything about that mugger. *transformes back* Just had to do that. So ya, skated home from the train station and called it a night.
Today was alright. I was still a little uptight about the incidents of yesterday, but I tried to not let it affect me too much. Best part of today: My ipod came!!!! wo0t wo0t!!!! Too bad it's useless at the moment. I need firewire connection to the pc, which I don't have. I'll have it at christmas if I get thei sound card, but until then, I'll either need to buy the usb dock cable or a pci firewire card. I'll do one of those tomorrow. Have to go down to the ACE program tomorrow. Down on W. 42 st. Right across the Library, by Bryant park. Bryant park is nice, I like it, they play jazz during the summer. There is also an electronics store on the way to siska and henisey, so hopefully I can get the card or cable I need. I'll most likely get the cable, so I can carry that around to use on other pcs, because most pcs don't have firewire connection, and if I can't connect to them, not very handy. I'll be getting a firewire connection soon anyway, so it's good. Who knows, maybe I'll get both.
Until tomorrow, OY MIGENTE!!!!!!!!
