My personal spending will drop like a rock, I was reducing it by 5% per year but it will be reduced by half or more than half within a month. I'll quit convenience meals, learn how to cook more stuff from scratch

Maybe also regard it that way: If this offer is serious and you'll take it, you won't have anything to do anymore (or at least much) with what may still lie ahead in era Trump Nr. 2, or whatever else may occur outside of him. At least not work-wise.
My brain feels remembered with this going on to "the cleansing begins" (beware of becoming Reich!), and to some extent also to the beginning of the 90s after the end of the GDR. It's when early retirement was also distributed quite lavishly to the employees who already were a little older. And it didn't come without a purpose either: On one hand, the FRG got to create a little bit of "peace", since a lot of workplaces and factories were closed at the beginning of the 90s, making a lot of people suddenly unemployed (GDR people didn't know that circumstance) - and on the other, these people didn't appear in any statistics about unemployment anymore. Plus, through giving them an early pension, they were fine off. Every month, they received a bunch of money to life from for literally doing nothing - and that was better than still go to work every day. For the FRG, this came in handy because so they silenced a couple of voices (because these had some to exist from), who would otherwise partake in protests against the takeover (aka "reunification"), because it would turn out to have been a huge mistake to say yes to it, and on the other... they got to "cleanse the ranks". Get rid of older employees who would be more prone to talk back, whenever they would think to see that something runs the wrong way. If now a whole different order was suposed to "come up", these would be the ones to get in the way most probably. So... better get rid of them, in order to enjoy your peace and assimilate everything.
I could think, this happens for that reason too. - Get rid of the older employees who would most probably raise their voice, in case something would happen to run totally the wrong way.
