return to running (lunch break)

Took my lunch break at 11am and couldn't stick with my previously planned 1:3 run:walk ratio, that felt too slow! Instead after warming up by walking for 3 minutes, I began a 1:1 run:walk ratio. I followed this cycle 9 times, then I cooled down by walking for 5 minutes. Traveled about 1.6 miles in 26 minutes. Slow Bug.

My knee has felt completely fine for at least a week, and now it still feels completely fine after this slow restart with the running. I'll alternate lengthening the distance and increasing the run:walk ratio over the next month and then hopefully I'll be back to my normal baseline of 3 miles at 10:1.

I want to be back to normal by New Year's Day 2025!

I'll go on a second walk this evening. I might lift weights at some point today or tonight ... but now, to eat some food and get back to work. I ran today!
