A largely Beethoven recital

Sep 14, 2024 22:28

I put on long pants and a collared shirt so I could visit a Lutheran church and listen to an acquaintance play mostly Beethoven on a piano. Then afterward I had some red wine and goldfish crackers while talking with old friends and a young man who I'd just met. The young man, Sloan, ended up riding back to Dupont Circle with me and then I walked him halfway to where he was going next, a gay bar.

I'm just back at the condo, having some food delivered, because I never had a real meal today.

Then I'll either read or watch something until I get sleepy. I'd thought there was a chance I'd play with toys after socializing, but it is too late and I'm too hungry and I want to be well rested for the more BIRTHDAY socializing tomorrow. If I play with toys here now I'll be up late and then have to clean it up in the morning, when I have to be in Baltimore, after checking on Astrid, which would all be too stressful.

So, tacos.

It is so wonderfully cool inside the condo, 67 low-humidity degrees, mmmm. It's always too cold here in the summer and too hot here in the winter, the HVAC thing is overpowered and not under individual unit control.

Food is on the way!!
