Wednesday evening
The short work week is half over!
Riding the Red Line was like old times, took about an hour each way. And, yes, a significant amount of my day was taken up by random coworkers wanting to talk about their children or their spouses. But this is what Upper Management desires, that we all spend two hours commuting so we can listen to our coworkers talk about their families for another two hours.

I was grateful to have leftovers from last night waiting for me when I got home, yummy :-)

Tomorrow morning I want to run, so no intoxicants or hot tub tonight. But perhaps tomorrow night I'll have a Popup Toy Night, since I'm planning on a sober Friday evening before running again on Saturday. Then I'll finally get a haircut downtown on Saturday, and probably stay at the condo for one night afterward. The following weekend will be more social: I'm seeing Kent & Friends on that Saturday evening, with a Bug Birthday at Steve & Chuck's on that Sunday, plus B's husband will no longer be in town, so perhaps B will hang out with me next week or even tag along on the weekend.

I was reminded today that NaNoWriMo exists, and perhaps the busy period at work will have ended by then. I might start brainstorming for story ideas, but I'm not much for planning ahead with my fiction, instead I let my characters role play with each other, while occasionally throwing them a curve.

After taking August off from Magic, I'm starting to get back into tinkering with decks and tackling the daily quests again. They added a bunch of new cards in August so there's a lot to explore. Also a lot of my decks contained cards that rotated out in August, so I have to rebuild them.

I don't think the house needs air conditioning right now.
