If we consider "all events" to include every single human action, thought, conversation, and natural occurrence, the percentage of those events that have been recorded might be on the order of 0.0000001% or even smaller.

Yet we presume the past is more knowable than the future.

In reality, both the past and the future present profound challenges to our understanding. Our knowledge of the past is incomplete and constantly evolving, while our predictions about the future are fraught with uncertainty. The distinction between the knowability of the past and the future is therefore more about perception and methodology than an absolute difference in their nature.
