yay, Christmas Eve!

That wrapped up in an orderly way :-)

15 guests total, more than the range T had expected, and some of them arrived at 5pm LOL, T had told me 6pm! so I hadn't even taken a shower or brushed my teeth yet! after a day of hard labor! so I had to simply tell them I wouldn't be available for a while. I wasn't upset, just matter of fact.

It was fun! I had met everybody before, including some I'd met before I met T. Ages from 19 to retired. People of all orientations. Many of them knew each other, but others made new connections. Some arrived as a couple or family unit, others came solo. My nephew and the other younger man got along really well. A couple who adopted a kid from Kazakhstan met the US State Department staffer in Kazakhstan who handled their paperwork. Amazing! But T knows such a diverse group of interesting people. I mean, when T got this new job, he received a congratulations video from Edward James Fucking Olmos.

We did the minimum cleanup for tonight -- put away all the food so the cats can't get it -- throw away all the trash & recycling -- take all that outside. Rinse down the plates and pans but don't bother washing everything tonight. Yeah, we'll clean up everything and put everything back where it was over the next few days.

Tomorrow morning we can sleep in, then we'll have pie for breakfast while opening presents, then we'll probably nap, and then I really really will have to study LOL. Hopefully nothing new happens tomorrow and I can really really study.

Of course we have way too much food leftover.

Good night and Merry Christmas!
