Turkey Day and some sort of pulled perineal muscle?

Nov 23, 2023 15:55

I ran this morning, then we got ready to travel to Fairfax County for Turkey Day. We both tested negative for COVID immediately before climbing into the car, just to be safe.

The meal was great, so were the people, no complaints. T drove his car. Now he's exhausted and is playing video games. We'll skip a formal dinner, we brought home some leftovers. I'm going to delay the condo until tomorrow morning, instead I'll head to the hot tub in a bit

Yesterday I apparently pulled some sort of perineal or pelvic floor muscle, not enough to disable me, but enough to caution me about playing with toys this evening. I performed a digital anal exam in the shower after running and found nothing abnormal inside or around my butt, instead it feels like a problem with one of the muscles in between the crotch, the anus, and the thighs, and I apparently pulled it while pooping at the office. How embarrassing. It is feeling better than it did yesterday, T said to give it another day.

It probably has nothing to do with butt play, but just to be safe I'll wait and head to the condo tomorrow morning, and after my haircut I will be extra mindful about playing with toys and will further explore where it hurts and what causes it to hurt. I could always play with my electro toys instead or just hang out by myself and watch TV.

Probably nothing serious -- saw no blood in the stool, no abnormal stool, no evidence of any problems on the exterior or interior of the anus/rectum. There are a lot of muscles down there and I can't pinpoint which one might be hurting from looking at an anatomy chart. So, I'll assume for now I pulled one of those obscure muscles down there and I'll be careful about straining on the toilet or playing with toys -- could've been something I did when I lifted weights on Tuesday? Or playing with toys three nights in a row last week? No need to see a doctor if it keeps improving on its own and I detect no other symptoms or problems. But, the Yellow Caution Flag is displayed.
