I went back out to the hot tub after dinner, staying out there for a couple hours -- until after T went to bed, then I came in and went to bed, now I'm wide awake at 6am on a Sunday, an hour before sunrise.
President Biden signed a short-term budget bill last night, so now we're funded through November 17. It seems the only thing Republicans got from all their drama was a bill with no money for Ukraine, but there were a lot of promises last night that Congress will move a separate bill with money for Ukraine, so ... WTF was all the drama for?
They had us really believing we'd shut down. Oh well, so now the federal government remains open, so today I will do the weekend work I would've done had none of this budget drama happened. And then tomorrow I will continue pushing through the superbusy hiring season (plus annual evaluation season). And then next weekend is a three-day weekend without T around, I'll expect him back on the 20th.
So, this morning I should stretch, and go on a walk after breakfast. Then there are chores and work tasks I want to accomplish today. Probably another walk in the late afternoon, then I'll cook dinner again. I'll plan to run tomorrow, and take T to the train station. I'll probably commute Tuesday/Wednesday? Run again Thursday, hope to quit early on Friday? Or I could commute Wednesday/Friday and head to the condo Friday evening? I'll figure that out later.
After I take T to the train station tomorrow I'll switch back to social mode, making plans with my peeps, etc. My sister is visiting later in the month. I'll need a haircut the next time I'm staying downtown, perhaps this coming weekend.
Astrid just now knocked my beverage all over the floor, so I cursed and turned on the light to clean it up, which woke T, but I hope he's able to fall back asleep. Cats. Sigh. Now she's being all snuggly like nothing happened.
