Somebody at the training who hadn't been sitting that far away from me, for two full days, tested positive for COVID last night.

Apparently last week's exposure within my workgroup didn't, from what I heard on Tuesday night when I called the sick person, who had been in touch with his exposed coworkers.
My workplace has become a biohazard, but there's been no general alarm. People seem resigned to COVID becoming endemic.
