I've had so much to do today, to get the house, the cats, my staff, and me -- all ready for a two-night trip tomorrow to see T. I have not been able to do everything I'd hoped to do today, but I'm not out of time yet, I'm probably leaving the house around 10am tomorrow. I've had to prioritize and throw things overboard from my idealistic To Do List. I didn't lift weights today, and I'm not going to. I'm not going to cook dinner. I'm taking a break now to have a beer and chill. Then I'll reconstitute the To Do List and decide what to do tonight vs. what to do in the morning.
It's only two nights, and I don't need a lot of costume changes. I don't have to dress up for the Island, just jeans and a polo shirt. We're only "going out" for restaurant meals.
OK, Bug, chill with your beer, then do what you can tonight.

UPDATE:
I quickly recreated my To Do List, which includes a packing list, and have crossed off a bunch of things. I'm packed except for toiletries that I'll need in the morning, I've done chores except those I'll need to do in the morning, I've printed out my train ticket ... OK, I think I'm done for the night, and it isn't even 7pm ... so ... I could play with toys for a little while ... I could go out to the hot tub ... I could order some delivery food ... I could potentially do all of the above ...
What a stressful day, though. It is difficult to prepare to let go of all my responsibilities, even for a short trip like this one.
I was talking with Ben last night in the hot tub about how different my retirement would be depending on things like -- do I live in a house or a small condo, do I have pets, do I live with somebody, do I have other recurring responsibilities like a charity board membership or part-time position, am I caretaker for anybody ...
OK, chill for a bit again, then go clean out for toys :o) but that means I'll have to clean up toys in the morning before I go LOL ... probably not running in the morning ... depends on how early I wake up.
