NYE w/ T
WE BOTH NAPPED ALL AFTERNOON!!!
But after the nap I felt completely fine, like I no longer have a head cold. Apparently I just needed to shut down and allow my body to repair itself. I'd also sucked on a couple Zinc Suckies which I believe are useful against the common cold about 50% of the time.
So, waking up, we decide to have dinner delivered, but the delivery services are slammed on NYE, so I said I'd go pick up pizza, and hopped in the shower, but then T decided to drive us together, so he did.
We had some great pizza (not from a chain) with some great red wine, then I suggested watching one of my favorite films from earlier this year, but T didn't feel like a film, he wanted to keep talking together, so instead I flipped through all my 2022 LJ entries tagged "film" and told him about all the films I'd watched this year, from the A+ to the D, and then some I couldn't finish at all. Yes, I did give one film a D this year after watching the entire thing, I'd forgotten that.
So we've been having a great conversation about film, including other films from the past, and films we haven't seen that we'd like to see. I love conversations like this! Conversations about books, film, music, artists.
Then T suggested one of his favorite albums from 2022, so I put it on the $$$$$ living room stereo as we talk.
I don't expect either of us to stay up until midnight. It's possible I'll go out to the hot tub after he goes to sleep -- I've got nothing to do and nowhere to be until Tuesday morning when I'll commute to the office. Heading to the condo sometime tomorrow for Time to Self, and maybe an arthouse film or two ;-)
[I'd love to see DavidS tomorrow instead, but my life is not holding back while I wait. Relationship anarchy, bitches.]
