Christmas Day!

Dec 25, 2022 13:00

I slept normally last night, got up soon after T did, ate some leftovers for breakfast. Then I made us cocktails for opening presents. He gave me a couple card games and a couple puzzles -- he'd already given me some other presents over the past few days while he's been here. I gave him his three presents and he seems to truly like them.

Then we played one of the new card games together, then he went up to nap and I turned into Turbo Chore Bug, cleaning up after the party and preparing for Trash/Maids Day (neither has been postponed). I'm nearly finished with all that -- I only have two pans left that are soaking in hot soapy water so they'll be easier to clean, that will only take a couple minutes.

I'm resting, then I'll decide whether to eat anything more before I head to the condo, except eating restarts the GERD clock (two hours until I can lie down); then I'll pack, brush teeth, shower, and put away my bathroom for the Maids. As part of my packing I want to bring some of the leftover food (there's an enormous amount in the fridge), though I don't expect to eat much at the condo, I expect to play with toys for two days in a row, and then to return to the house on Tuesday morning in time to check work emails -- and decide how many days I'm working this week and which day I'm commuting and how I'm getting back into my exercise routine.

T is here for about two weeks. DavidS and Sir Ben return Wednesday. B doesn't return until next week, but he's been exposed to COVID at his mother's house, so ... who knows ...

My belated family gathering is on Jan 7, then MAL is Jan 13-16. I have no plans for NYE yet ... I'm kind of wondering about the availability of DavidS once he returns, I want to prioritize him, especially before school starts up again.

Nope on food, if I eat something now I'll have to wait until at least 3pm to play with toys at the condo. Let the fasting begin, I had plenty to feast upon the past few days in between chores and the actual party last night.

I wouldn't be surprised if I caught a cold or something from all the errands and commuting and guests over the past few days ... but as always my asthma & rhinitis symptoms make it tough to tell ... plus this unusually cold & dry air could cause some symptoms to flare without needing a virus. But it is inevitable that I'll get a respiratory infection again someday! I should take a box of COVID tests with me to the condo, just in case I do feel ill before I return to the house ...
