smaller cage is smaller
I'd ordered this cage, The Nope, very late at night on a weekend while intoxicated and sleepy, without carefully scoping out each of the measurements and comparing them in my spreadsheet to my other cages.
As they say, I was "winging" it. Drunk impulse buy!
I went with the smallest ring size and the second-smallest cage length. When ordering from the previous company, I'd gone with the smallest of both. But Kink3D has smaller models than Custom Chastity. I ordered what looked to be the next smaller size from what I already have from other vendors.
It's about 0.4" shorter than my previous cages, which seems to be OK after wearing it overnight. It's definitely more snug, and I like how that looks, but not too snug. The ring size is comparable to my previous cages, which seems to be OK. But the spacer between the ring and the cage -- the part that traps the scrotum -- is about 0.1" tighter than my previous cages. This was causing my scrotum some discomfort overnight during my nocturnal erections, but it is OK this morning, no chafing yet.
I might go with the next-larger ring size to relieve some pressure on my scrotum, but I'm going to give it some more time first. I would sometimes experience temporary scrotum pressure with my metal cage. Though I'm tempted to go ahead and order the next-larger ring size this morning so I have it in reserve if needed.
So ... after one night of nocturnal erections, I'm still in The Nope, and willing to see how it goes, but also willing to retreat to a 1mm-wider spacer / 3mm-wider ring.
Before sending me their smallest ring, Kink3D's customer service emailed to ask, "Did you really mean it? Sure you don't want the next larger size?" I really meant it, but there's always an element of trial-and-error with chastity cages. With the metal cage vendor I eventually bought a second, smaller metal cage that fit better. So I might do the same here, I might buy a second, larger ring size that fits better. But I made it through the night.

Sir Ben caught a respiratory virus while he was traveling, so he's fine not seeing me this weekend. We might see each other next weekend if he's feeling better by then. I want to have the cage-size issue resolved by then, so I can hand over both keys the next time I see him. So maybe I should go ahead and buy the next-larger ring ... I could also purchase their emergency key system, and their logo t-shirt ...
I dunno, my scrotum feels totally fine this morning ... and I did sleep well ...
