so many are still waiting ...

Not many of my friends and family are as confident as I am about Biden winning, so I feel like I'm living in a house where I'm the only person who can see that the horrible monster outside is gone, and that we're free, and that it is OK to celebrate, to go outside, and to cry tears of relief.  I cried such tears of relief this morning when I heard Biden had pulled ahead in GA, even though Biden doesn't need GA to win, he's been ahead in enough states to win since Wednesday morning!

My sister said she's waiting for a "reputable" source, LOL.  So I admitted to being disreputable, definitely.  One of my readers said they're waiting for something "official" and for everything to be "said and done".  I replied, "It is done, soon it will be well done, soon it will be burnt," but as I post this AP still hasn't called Nevada for Biden, which is all it would take to end this nightmare and award 270 Electoral Votes to Biden.  He doesn't need PA or GA for the win, and AP already awarded AZ to Biden, and NV should be called!

There are a couple of sites that have called the race for Biden, but they are not considered mainstream news sites, so I won't bother to share them with you.

It is interesting how we've handed over the power to crown our next President to the major news outlets, who are then forced to use somewhat arbitrary criteria to decide whether to call a state before it is finished counting.  If we always waited for every state to finish counting, then we'd never "call" a race until two or three weeks had passed, we'd just wait for the states to finish counting.

Perhaps my model is pro-Biden, perhaps I'm biased.  Perhaps the betting markets are right and Trump still has a 6% chance of winning so we should wait until that chance is down below 1%.  Sigh.  I'm no longer just "reasonably confident", I'm convinced the race is now over.  But until this becomes shared reality, I'm alone in crying my tears of relief.
