Tod bailed on his August trip :-(
I'd encouraged him to go away for a while, to get his mind out of work, out of this house, because he doesn't have the condo to get away to, and no longer has Brian's apartment either.
Tod looked into renting an RV, or a cabin in the woods, or whatnot. But today he pulled the plug. He's going to take a week off from work, but he's not going anywhere. He said the combination of travel restrictions, activity restrictions, nobody to travel with, and a cash flow problem (even though I provided him a loan) ... nope.
So, I just offered to do a matching combination of my own -- work from condo, time off at condo, time off at house -- that week, so he won't be "on vacation" while I'm in the living room all week trying to get some work done.
I was already planning to take off a week in September and spend it at the condo ... I'll think about whether to switch that week, or do both weeks ...
I don't think it is healthy for Tod to be stuck at the house nearly all the time, but my attempt to support him in spending a week somewhere else has failed. No away mission for Admiral Tod. I'll have to continue my own away missions to the condo to provide him with time apart.
