Just saw a Republican politician refer to his two "beautiful daughters", and I was reminded that for Republicans, it is very important that their daughters be beautiful. President Trump has set the public tone on this, when talking about Ivanka and how beautiful she is -- she's definitely his favorite because of her beauty. And it is fairly obvious that for a woman to advance within the Trump administration nowadays, she had better reflect classical beauty standards.
