This kind of "reverse" sexism and similar "reverse" racism is becoming rampant among liberals. If I said the same thing but replaced "women" with "men", that would be so sexist.
Should I step down from my own supervisory position because I'm a white guy? All white guys in management jobs should just quit today.
This kind of reverse-sexist rhetoric, in my opinion, is part of what drives people to vote for somebody like Trump. I think we should include people of all descriptions, not replace one model of prejudice with another. I try my best to boost the people who work for me, including the women, including the people of color. I try my best to hire broadly equivalent numbers of men and women, and to give serious consideration to minority candidates. But I don't favor women over men, and I don't favor people of color over white people. There are qualified candidates from all groups.
