3BR/1BA house for rent in Lawrence: $660/mo! Dec. 1st
Attention those of you thinking about moving to Lawrence:
My fiance and I just signed a contract on a house and we will be moving out of our rental! We're looking for someone to sublease starting December 1st with the possibility of moving in late November if we can get the place cleaned up quickly for you! Our rental agency is A&S rental and you would have to provide an application to them. If you are approved, the deposit is 1 month's rent. The nice thing about this sublease is that you can renew your lease after it's over! (A lease runs from Aug. 1st to July 31st of the following year. This sublease would go until July 31st 2008).
It's located on Missouri St. one block south of the hospital complex. This stretch of Missouri is only a block long so there is very little through traffic making this a good neighborhood for children. Also, the neighbors are all really nice and helpful! It's a 3 bedroom/1 bathroom one-level home with hardwood floors in the bedrooms and carpet in the living room. Most of the walls are white, but I did do some painting in the bathroom and the hallway (nice neutral colors) and if you like the paint, I'm sure it can stay (I'll talk to my landlords about it as I sort of didn't ask their permission in the first place! White walls bore me, though!) It has a nice sized kitchen, HUGE laundry room/storage area, a HUGE fenced in back yard complete with a storage shed, and well-established trees on the property. The house shows well and we would be happy to let people interested come and check it out (given enough notice, of course!) I have lived there for 3 years now and the only reason I'm moving is because we purchased a house. I would stick around if not for that! Pets are allowed with a pet deposit (of 1/2 month's rent) but you do not have to pay a monthly pet fee and the deposit is refundable if no damage occurred.
